It is a pleasure to inform you that QuadWinkowski received certificates issued by the FSC and PEFC organizations. Those certificates were awarded when all company locations had undergone certification audits with positive results.
The audits, carried out by a recognized external certification firm, commenced on 27 April in Piła. On the following day the auditors audited the printing company in Wyszków. They confirmed full compliance of both locations with the standards in force in this area.
The decision to implement the PEFC and FSC organizations’ systems connected with the protection of forest resources was taken at the end of last year. The works on their implementation were carried out very smoothly. Therefore we were able to adopt them in such a short time.
The essence of both certifications is the confirmation that the source of origin of the wood and wood products is known and the wood is obtained as a result of appropriate and responsible forest management. QuadWinkowski obtained COC type (Chain-of-Custody) certificates which are designed for the timber industry companies. COC certification obliges companies to adhere to strict recommendations as to the separation of certified raw materials (from non-certified ones) in the course of manufacturing processes to assure that the end product is marked with a proper logo.
Those certificates represent another proof, apart from ISO 14001:2004, of the company’s consistent activities in the area of environmental protection. Those activities have represented an important part of the company’s operation since its inception and together with the establishment of the corporate Environmental Policy those gained a systemic and top-priority nature.
