QuadWinkowski has begun a series of investments in IMC S.A. Winkowski Group, opening a new sheetfed plant in Radzymin and purchasing a new, large-format Speedmaster XL 162 sheetfed press.
WYSZKÓW, 22 March 2011 – QuadWinkowski, one of Europe’s largest printers, has begun a series of investments in IMC S.A. Winkowski Group, a manufacturer of packaging, stands, displays and advertising materials it acquired in 2010. The investments will enhance the product and service offerings of both companies, strengthening their market positions.
The investments include opening a new sheetfed plant in Radzymin to produce stands and other POS-related promotional materials. The new location will complement other sheetfed capabilities in Wyszków and Piła.
The new Radzymin plant increases the company’s print production space, enabling the purchase of a new, large-format Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 162 5+LX3 sheetfed offset press. Equipped with 5 printing units and a coating unit, the new press offers printing in 1210 mm x 1620 mm format.
“The purchase has significantly increased our production capacity, and thanks to this we are able to offer our customers greater flexibility and shorter production run times," says Sławomir Danielewski, Director of IMC Sales. Stefan Polański, QuadWinkowski Sheetfed Production Director, who is responsible for the new location, adds that in addition to investments in large-format printing, QuadWinkowski will also develop digital printing, silk-screen printing, heat laminating and print enrichment capabilities.
The new Heidelberg Speedmaster press will make its debut during the grand opening of the Radzymin Plant on March 23.
