QuadWinkowski is the first printer in Poland and one of the few in this region of Europe to power its operations only from renewable sources. Starting from 1 October 2011 QuadWinkowski’s Wyszków and Radzymin facilities are fully supplied with renewable energy by Energa’s hydropower plant in Włocławek.
Previously both plants were powered by conventional energy produced from fossil fuels. “The decision to use green energy is an another initiative arising from our Environmental Policy”, explains Andrzej Płatek, Director of Administration in charge of QuadWinkowski’s pro-ecological projects. “Our main goal is to reduce the impact of the printing production processes on environment. Our environmental actions are consistent with the highest international standards and are acknowledged by ISO 14001, PEFC and FSC certification bodies.”
“QuadWinkowski’s pro-ecological actions derive from our company’s organizational culture. It encourages continuous improvement and optimization in all areas of activities, including environmental protection” adds Tim Ohnmacht, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. The choice of green energy is also a response to the expectations of our current and potential customers. I’m convinced that our latest pro-environmental initiative will gain their recognition and will reassure them that we’re capable to delivering the highest quality products with due concern for the environment.”
