Employee safety is equally important to our company as quality and efficiency, and our safety efforts go far beyond our legal obligations.
We’ve created and are successfully implementing Safety Accountability Measurement (SAM) program, which targets fewer injuries and overall employee safety continuous improvement. SAM, which records employees’ participation in required safety activities, consists of safety training, Think Safe quizzes, safety conversations and audits, Safety Cards, and formal recognition for those who contribute to safety improvement.
The SAM program successfully combines education with assessment of each employee’s safety progress so we can track how knowledge passed on to employees translates into safety performance.
Dedicated Safety Teams are another important element of our Safety Policy. These teams consist of skilled and regularly trained employees, many of whom are ex-firefighters and lifeguards. Their mission is to help employees during accidents or evacuations.
